President's Message

ArSRT Members,

I look forward to a new year of accomplishments for the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologists. With the invaluable support of the ASRT and updates to our website and the Society’s Bylaws at this year’s convention in the areas of Student membership, Limited License Tech membership, and additional Board positions, we have an unlimited potential to grow our Society.

The Board plans to continue offering CE opportunities for members in the coming year in different areas of the state as one of the membership perks. We also want to offer social gatherings for the membership whether it is in support of a cause, such as the Komen Race last year, or just to have fun. To do this, we need your ideas and support! Please let me or one of the other Board members know if you would like to host a day of CEs, ask the Society to offer support for a charity, or anything else you think the Society could get involved in. Be sure to check out the Society website periodically for happenings in your area.

I challenge each of you to encourage at least one colleague to join the Society in the coming year. I challenge the students to bridge into full membership upon graduation and certification and make your voices heard as imaging professionals for the state of Arkansas. If you have never served on the Board, I challenge you to volunteer for a position so that we can keep the ideas fresh. Let’s keep the momentum of this past year going! The ArSRT Board cares, and we are here to serve you, our valued members!
